And the winner is: Virginia C! Virginia, if you’ll drop me an email with your shipping info, I’ll forward that to Trish
Thanks, everyone, for hanging out!!!
Woot!! Trish Milburn is here with us today! Trish is an amazing author and a fabulously fun gal who I’m thrilled to
welcome to the blog! Not only does she write great stories for Harlequin American, she’s also writing incredible young adult stories as Tricia Mills. I’ve known Trish for, well, halfway to forever. Or so it seems, since every year I finaled in the Golden Heart contest, she was right there with me. Trish also hosts the fun blog, Healthy Writer, where I hang out on Thursdays, and is another of the wild, fun and amazing Romance Bandits. And she still has time to write!! Amazing lady. Please, join me in welcoming her – and be sure to answer her question posed below for a chance to win a copy of her first book, A FIREFIGHTER IN THE FAMILY, which is connected to her latest release, THE FAMILY MAN. (and check out the GORGEOUS covers!!)
1. Plotter or Pantzer?
I’m somewhere in between. I do plot some ahead of time, but it’s not so extensive I already feel I’ve written half the book. A Plotser, perhaps.![]()
2. Ball cap or Stetson?
Stetson. I’ve loved cowboy heroes since I was a kid watching westerns on TV on Saturdays, and that hasn’t changed.3. Ocean or mountain?
I love both! When it’s cold here, I like to go to the beach in Florida. When it’s hot, I like to retreat to the cooler mountains.4. Clean or cluttered?
Clean. When I’m on deadline and don’t have time to clean, it drives me batty. I just finished a couple of deadlines, so I’m getting ready to become a cleaning crazy woman this week.5. Car or plane?
Car! I’m a terra firma girl.
6. Plain or peanut?
Plain. I hate peanuts and peanut butter. Can’t stand the smell. My question to the readers:
Titanic or Avatar?
Trish Milburn writes heartwarming, small-town romances for Harlequin American under her own name and young adult novels for Razorbill under the name Tricia Mills. Her newest release is The Family Man, out this month from Harlequin American. Her next YA novel, Winter Longing, will be out in August. She loves reading (duh), watching TV and movies, hiking, and road trips and wishes she had more time for hobbies like cross-stitching and genealogy.

Hi Trish. Great answers. I love the covers to your books. I would choose Titanic.
Hi, everyone. Thanks for having me here today, Tawny. Always fun to hang out with my buds.
Crystal, thanks. I love the covers too. I’ve been really blessed with wonderful covers so far.
Neither for me. I just never had a desire to see either one.
Leni, are they just not your kind of movie? I’m curious because I really liked Titanic and absolutely adored Avatar.
I’m not a Leonardo Dicaprio fan and haven’t had a desire to see Avatar.
Hi Trish and Tawny! Great Quick Six, Trish. I can’t wait to read your latest – I’m a big fan *g*
I haven’t seen Avatar and I wasn’t all that crazy about Titanic.
What was your favorite part about writing The Family Man?
Aww, Beth, you’re so sweet. Hmm, favorite part — I think it was two things: returning to a setting and some characters from my first book, and getting to explore Adam’s story since he really grew on me as I wrote the first book.
Hi Trish
I’m have to admit, I haven’t seen either movie (I know, I know, bad me) But based on the storylines, I’d have to pick Titanic, just for the looooooove stuff *g*
You mentioned that The Family Man and A Firefighter in the Family are connected -can you share with us how?
Adam Canfield, who is the hero in The Family Man, was the hero’s (Zac Parker’s) best friend in A Firefighter in the Family.
Hi, Trish & Tawny! Great post! That “Family Man” is a real cutie : ) I would have to choose “Titanic”. Very few tragedies in history illustrate the best and worst of humanity as does the story of the Titanic. Built with every possible touch of luxury, yet lacking enought lifeboats to save all the passengers. Worst of all, cheap rivets were used to fasten together the ship’s hull. When the ship struck the iceberg, those rivets popped and left the hull open, sinking the ship. Her sister ship, the Britannic was being used as a hospital ship when it sank off the Greek island of Kea in November 1916. It was on its way to collect soldiers wounded in the Balkan campaign of the First World War.
He is a cutie, isn’t he? He’s supposed to look like Eric Dane from Grey’s Anatomy, and I think the artist did a great job of showing that. Wow, I didn’t know that about the Britannic. Very interesting.
Hi Tawny and Trish!
I’m really liking “plotser”!!
Titanic was realy good. I am not an Avatar fan!
Plotser just “sounds” like what I do.
I LOVE Adam!
And Avatar
Thanks! Me too. Shocking, I know.
Haven’t seen Avatar yet so I can’t really answer the question.
You have some really nice covers for your books.
Thanks, Nicole.
I haven’t seen Avatar. The blue people (are they people?) put me off. But I LOVE Titanic, so much drama, so much romance. It’s a GREAT movie!
Kirsten, they are people. There’s drama and romance in Avatar, too.
I haven’t seen Avatar yet though I have heard it is a wonderful movie. Since I have only seen Titanic I have to go with that.
