Castle: Cute!
THE THIRD MAN.  Date night rocks! Even if their dates were with someone else LOL.
This was a fun episode. After the intense emotions and messages of last week, this was a great shift. Upbeat, cute, clever. I had so much fun watching Castle worry over Beckett finding out about his ‘almost off the market’ news, and even better was their respective dates.
The writers are solid -they really keep a great balance. If the crime is heavy, the romance is lighter between Castle and Beckett. If they are heating up, the crime is lighter. In this case (no intended) the case was on the entertaining side. Diamonds in snakes? Seriously made me giggle. Talk about incentive to get over a snake phobia. But the banter between Rick and Kate, the fact that neither of them realize how hard they are falling for each other? That was definitely center stage this week. And it played out quite nicely. I loved the looks on each others’ face when they were at the restaurant. The way they blew off their dates to talk about their obsession with the case. The sneaky little tiptoe out when they saw they were off the hook as their respective dates hooked up with each other. So FUN!!
Favorite Scene: Beckett and Castle waltzing off in the end to get burgers together. On a non-date, of course
Favorite actions: Beckett’s hair twirl when she’s feeling flirty *g*
Favorite line:Â Ryan to Esposito:Â “Do they realize they’re finishing each other’s sentences?”
Second favorite line: Esposito about the fireman:Â “He saved puppies.”
How about you? What’d you think of this episode? Are you loving it? Favorite scene? Favorite line?

I am totally with you on favorite line! Every time this show comes on, I get giggly. I loved Nathan in Firefly, great hero, but as Castle he just cracks me up. I like the romance. Slow to develop, but not ridiculously so. I loved the light, flirtatious tone to the relationship. However, I think favorite scene was with his daughter as she’s giving him phone numbers from all these women and he’s like, “Oh. You hate me a little bit right now, don’t you?”
Great blog, Tawny! :O)
Oooooh, Firefly *big deep sigh* I loved that series. I’m with you on the slow romance, its driven me a little crazy in the past. But they are so rocking the storylines now, huh?
and OMG I totally spaced Alexis’ scene with the phone numbers. Oh man that was funny!
I am totally loving it Tawny! I loved the hair twirl when Castle put Beckett’s arm through his as they were walking to the elevator for their non-date. The banter between the two is awesome as well. I too loved the line where Esposito talks about them finishing each others sentences. I like the slow development of their serious like for each other as well. The opening scene where Martha asks what Beckett thinks about what the newspaper reporter said was great too. His reaction was abso priceless. I am glad that I got turned on to this series.

That expression WAS priceless, huh, Paula. I’m totally hooked on the hair twirl, it was so sweet. So was the smile on Beckett’s face when she was doing the phone flirting, huh?
Yep, the hair twirling on the phone, and Castle’s reaction to it was priceless. I love the slow build up of romance, and I don’t think many of today’s tv shows have that enough. How about the scene with his daughter when she was doing homework and Castle came home all excited that #3 was interested? I love how the first question was “what does Beckett think?” or words to that effect.
Peace and love,

They are so super cute together. I loved how they both wanted to “date” and got jealous and irritated with each other. Awesome!
That jealousy was fab, huh Laura. I laughed a lot during this episode and usually at Castle’s expressions. He was so struggling with his feelings – probably feelings he’s never actually had before. You know, seeing as other than Alexis, he’s really only loved himself until now LOL.
The writers and the actors are doing such a great job this year. There is great power in the subtle gesture, like the hair twirling. Normally, I am anxious to see romance develop more quickly, but this slower pace is really quite lovely to watch and probably more realistic.
Yes I am loven this show, we usually don’t watch it until the next day but I can’t wait for it to come on each week! One of my favorite shows!
