One of my favorite memories was when I was about 5 years old and my older sisters and I got up on Christmas morning when it was still full dark to see what Santa had brought. Hours later, my parents found us asleep amidst all of the toys we had been playing with!
Such a wonderful quote. I cherish all the Christmas mornings when the kids were small, and the world seemed perfect.
Not only did we put out cookies and milk (hubby ate and drank the loot for Santa)we also rang the little sleigh bells at night. One year, we found sleigh tracks in the snow. Hubby told me later, he’d gotten up earlier and had ridden the cross country skis across the front yard. But the year we found tracks on the roofs of our cars – we were really surprised. Those raccoons….
