I would much rather go to Europe than an Island. I would probably feel kind of claustrophobic with being on one island.
What I like about Europe is that each country has its own distinct language and culture. And it doesn’t hurt that many of their citizens also speak English.

I would say Island beach so I can lay out in the sun and watch all the hotties on the beach. and of course cold beach drinks served by hotties. I’ve already seen some of Europe.

Touring Europe would be my choice I think, I would love to see lots of different countries and I am not your basic beach person.

Melissa, with a reason like that of course you can do both, LOL. And French lessons in THAT classroom in THAT location…I give you props if you were able to concentrate long enough to learn anything.

Rachie, not sure I agree but I do understand. I have a nephew who lives in Europe who says, seen one castle/palace/cathedral seen them all — sacrilege!

Ooh, gotta say touring Europe. I think one beach is the same as any other…but there’s only one Europe!

I’m an Aries, but I was born prematurely and was actually due to be a June baby, so I would have been a Gemini too! So, can I do the beaches of Europe? That would cover both, and the Mediterranean certainly has a lot to offer! I think lazy days on the beach, combined with a few days of sightseeing and enjoying the cultural highlights of Europe would be perfect. I spent a month studying French in a little town called Villefranche-sur-Mer (near Nice), and my classroom overlooked the Med and Corsica – needless to say my French teacher had to keep calling me back to the lesson! Best of luck with the book – I’m looking forward to reading it.

Virna, I suspect a honeymoon in Europe would have been wastged on me as well, despite my love and adoration. I’d have been too wrapped up in other kinds of love and adoration. The leisurely option appeals to me as well and I have a yen for taking up residency and writing half days and cruising the countryside the other half.

Anita, it’s also bleak and wet in my part of the world and ANYWHERE warm sounds mighty good. Including right here beneath my cosy doona! I’ve been doing a spot of work but pretty soon I’m downloading a book…preferably something hot, in spirit and/or location. Perfect for a day like this!

Mel, interesting point about your ancestry — so many of us in “the new worlds” have those links, often to multiple countries/cultures, and we have this deep yearning to visit those roots. Almost a spiritual home kind of thing. Me, I also have some German blood through my maternal grandfather, Irish and Danish through my maternal grandmother, and loads of English through my dad’s side of the family.
