Quick Six with Bronwyn Jameson

I”m thrilled to welcome a fabulous lady to the blog – Bronwyn Jameson is a multi-award winning, massively RITA nominated (like, wow she rocks!!) author who writes for Silhouette Desire.

Bronwyn Jameson writes sensually dramatic Silhouette Desires largely set in Australia…although her new (July) release takes her Aussie heroine on an unexpected–and reluctant–journey to England. For Bronwyn travel is never reluctant. She blames her incessant wanderlust on being a Gemini, which also makes answering either/or questions damn difficult. :-)

But here we go.

1. Plotter or Pantzer?
Plotter, who doesn’t mind taking a leisurely detour*. Often.

2. Alpha, beta or gamma?
Alpha, always, in the classic sense not the alpha-bastard interpretation (grrrr.)

3. Historical or Contemporary?
As a reader, both, in all flavours. As a writer, contemporary. I’m far too obsessive (and easily distracted) with research to write historicals; I would never finish the first book! (Refer 1*)

4. Coffee or Tea?
Both. Strong, white, unsweetened, preferably accompanied by 5.

5. Cake or Pie?
Both. Do you see a pattern here?

6. Brains or Brawns?
Nothing is sexier than a big, highly defined, well exercised brain.

My question has to be about travel: The perfect summer holiday: an island beach or touring Europe?

make-believe-mistress
Her new client was devilishly handsome, superbly charming…and absolutely hiding something. Why else would a man as rich and powerful as Cristo Verón have any interest in the cleaning services of lowly Isabelle Browne? Her suspicions were confirmed when she discovered his real reason for hiring her. And suddenly, she was agreeing to a preposterous proposition….

Cristo would protect his family at any cost — and keeping Isabelle close was key to his plan. Having her pose as his make-believe mistress was step one. But he hadn’t counted on wanting to make the pretense a reality.

Bronwyn is giving away a copy of her new book MAGNATE’S MAKE-BELIEVE MISTRESS with our reluctant Aussie Isabelle and not-at-all-reluctant alpha Cristiano, plus polo and shopping and a Cinderella makeover and a meddling family and a fabulous country estate. Her website http://www.bronwynjameson.com for more behind-the-book info. To be eligible all you have to do is answer her question in the comments section!!

Touring Europe, of course. I hear there are some nice beaches there, so I could get a twofer, right? ;) I’m all about doubling up too :D

Thanks for visiting with us, Bronwyn!

  2. Nicole S says:

Touring Europe would be my choice because there are places in Europe I’m dying to go see like Spain, Ireland, and Italy.

  3. Petro says:

Later that same year,we went to Paris together, and had the most amazingly lovely summer day’s ! *sigh* I would love to see more of Europe..just have to beg, borrow and … LOL :)

  5. chey says:

  6. Roberta Harwell says:

    Hello Bronwyn,

If I had my choice of vacation, I’d have to chose touring Europe. I burn to easily for the beach. Plus, I’d love to see all the museums the different countries have to offer. Have a great day.

  7. Jill James says:

Definitely the tour of Europe. I live in California, I can see the beach anytime.

  8. Good thinkin’ Limecello, you smart multi-tasker you! :-) Some very nice beaches indeed, although I’d be too busy seeing all the sites, museums, art galleries, patisseries and wine bars, y’know, to find time for the beach.

    Bron

  9. Nicole, ditto to all three places. I’ve only visited England and France and dying to see many, many more. As Chey said (hi Chey!), the full European tour would be a dream come true.

  10. Petra, you got your man to take you to Paris??? You are my idol!!! My guy, I love him and he does have a romantic soul, it just doesn’t extend to big cities or long plane flights. :-( But I am ever so glad that you lived my dream and thank you ever so much for your kind words re my books. Hope you enjoy Cristo and Isabelle as much as you’ve enjoyed my others.

  11. Oops, blush, PetrO. So sorry for reading your name wrong. Hope you will forgive me. :-)

    Bron

  12. Crystal, hello, waving! Thank you, also, for liking my writing (we authors can never read that enough.)

I must also thank the fabulous Tawny for having me as her guest Quick Sixxer this week. Thanks, Tawny, for the invitation and the fun!

  13. Roberta, I see that you’re a fellow museum buff. High five.

Jill, good point abt the beach. Similar here; although I don’t live near the beach, Australia is such a beach-culture. My every childhood holiday was at the beach, and many with our boys as well (although we varied them) so I always yearn for a different vacation experience.

    Bron

  14. Ah… BOTH!!! I’d have a week on a lovely island beach (catching up on my TBR pile of course) and spend the rest of the vacation in Europe!! Shopping and devouring culture!!

    Rach!

  15. Mel says:

Oh definately Europe for me! My mum and her family were German, and I’d just love to hire and car and drive all over, travel as far and see as much as I could!!

  16. Anita says:

As I’m sitting here shivering in the mid-winter chills have to say the beach. A nice hot beach (lol).

Hot sun, cold daquiri in hand, lazing on the beach watching the semi-naked lifesavers (of course reality is building drip castles at the waters edge with my little men – but I can dream).

  17. BOTH, of course!!!, why did I not predict that answer? LOL, Rach.

  18. Virna says:

Europe for sure. I’d love the second chance. I was there as a very little kid and then again on my honeymoon, but I was too young both times. On my honeymoon, we spent our time (well, not all of it, ahem) running ourselves ragged on tours, trying to see everything. This time, I’d relax and soak in the people and atmosphere more.

  19. Mel, interesting point about your ancestry — so many of us in “the new worlds” have those links, often to multiple countries/cultures, and we have this deep yearning to visit those roots. Almost a spiritual home kind of thing. Me, I also have some German blood through my maternal grandfather, Irish and Danish through my maternal grandmother, and loads of English through my dad’s side of the family.

  20. Anita, it’s also bleak and wet in my part of the world and ANYWHERE warm sounds mighty good. Including right here beneath my cosy doona! I’ve been doing a spot of work but pretty soon I’m downloading a book…preferably something hot, in spirit and/or location. Perfect for a day like this!

    Bron

  21. Virna, I suspect a honeymoon in Europe would have been wastged on me as well, despite my love and adoration. I’d have been too wrapped up in other kinds of love and adoration. The leisurely option appeals to me as well and I have a yen for taking up residency and writing half days and cruising the countryside the other half.

  22. Melissa Salisbury says:

I’m an Aries, but I was born prematurely and was actually due to be a June baby, so I would have been a Gemini too! So, can I do the beaches of Europe? That would cover both, and the Mediterranean certainly has a lot to offer! I think lazy days on the beach, combined with a few days of sightseeing and enjoying the cultural highlights of Europe would be perfect. I spent a month studying French in a little town called Villefranche-sur-Mer (near Nice), and my classroom overlooked the Med and Corsica – needless to say my French teacher had to keep calling me back to the lesson! Best of luck with the book – I’m looking forward to reading it.

  23. RachieG says:

Ooh, gotta say touring Europe. I think one beach is the same as any other…but there’s only one Europe! :)

  24. Melissa, with a reason like that of course you can do both, LOL. And French lessons in THAT classroom in THAT location…I give you props if you were able to concentrate long enough to learn anything.

Rachie, not sure I agree but I do understand. I have a nephew who lives in Europe who says, seen one castle/palace/cathedral seen them all — sacrilege!

    Bron

  25. Dianna says:

Touring Europe would be my choice I think, I would love to see lots of different countries and I am not your basic beach person.

  26. Dianna, thanks for visiting and playing. The count is very weighted toward Europe at present.

  27. delitealex says:

I would say Island beach so I can lay out in the sun and watch all the hotties on the beach. and of course cold beach drinks served by hotties. I’ve already seen some of Europe.

  28. Mari says:

I would much rather go to Europe than an Island. I would probably feel kind of claustrophobic with being on one island.
What I like about Europe is that each country has its own distinct language and culture. And it doesn’t hurt that many of their citizens also speak English.
