Monday’s Quote

Let books be your dining table,
And you shall be full of delights
Let them be your mattress
And you shall sleep restful nights.
~Author Unknown

I love this quote becuase it reminds me of me. I take a book with me everywhere. Unless its a family meal (aka dinner) I always eat with a book for company. I can’t sleep unless I’ve read for awhile, either. How about you? Other than recreation, how does reading factor into your daily life?

I can’t imagine a life without books scattered around my house. Wherever I have a place to sit, there is a book waiting to be read. No matter how tired I am at night I still read for 30 to 40 minutes to relax so I can sleep.

I’m with you, Jill. I can’t sleep without a book, although I tend toward non-fiction at night or I’ll have to read until I get to The End, and that makes for a very early morning *g*. I love books. My favorite outing has always been a trip to the bookstore.

I carry a book with me everywhere, one time I was caught in traffic without a book and vowed to never let that happen again. At work I have a half hour lunch and two-10 minutes breaks, I read. I have to read before I go to sleep or I don’t sleep.

Good plan, Dianna. I love being able to find little pockets of reading time!
