A Firefighter in the Family

Miranda “Randi” Cooke left her family and her hometown on the Gulf Coast of Florida behind when a mistake she made as a firefighter led to tragedy. Now her job with the state fire marshal’s office has brought her back to Horizon Beach. Not only will she have to hunt down an arsonist, but she’ll also face the estrangement from her family and have to decide if she wants to give her love for former firefighter Zac Parker a second chance.

For fun, Trish and I each asked each other 3 random questions… to be shared here (well, hers are shared here. If you want to read mine, you need to go to Trish’s blog)

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I remember a period of wanting to be an archaeologist, likely brought on by Harrison Ford’s hotness in the Indiana Jones movies. Also, I toyed with the idea of becoming a TV journalist but opted for print journalism instead. But I think I’ve always wanted to be a writing of stories even while wanting these other things.

What’s your favorite dessert?

Ack! This is a hard question. I love chocolate cake, lemon pie, carrot cake, Dairy Queen Chocolate Extreme Blizzards. Yes, I have a sweet tooth.

If you were going into space for a month and could only take three things with you (all food and necessities are covered) what would you bring?

The biggest iPod they make filled with music, audiobooks and movies. A computer to write on. Digital camera.

:-D
Thanks Trish!!!

So… what questions do YOU have for Trish? Go ahead… ask away :-)

    Hi Trish!
I wanted to be an archaeologist too but it never worked out. I am thrilled you’re here today! I read about your debut before I saw it and the title alone makes me want it very badly. Love those firefighters. *g*
My question is: If you were a fruit, what would you be and why? Hee.

  2. Fedora:

Great answers, Trish! For a while, inspired by the hotness that was in Top Gun, I wanted to become a navy pilot. (I eventually came to my senses ;))

I love dessert, too! So, dessert first or last?

And what’s the most recent amazing book you’ve read?

    (Hi, Tawny! Great questions! ;))

  3. Trish Milburn:

Thanks, Mel! Fruit, eh? Hmm, I guess I’d say strawberry because it’s my favorite fruit.

  4. Tawny:

LOL- you’d be a cute strawberry, Trish!!

So tell me this - we’re a couple weeks into your debut month… was it everything you’d thought it would be?

  5. Trish Milburn:

Yeah, busy. :) Seriously, it’s been wonderful. Everyone is so nice about saying they either want to read my book or saying wonderful things about it if they have. Now if all these revisions on my YA were done, I could enjoy my debut month more.

  6. Beth Andrews:

Congrats on your debut, Trish! I have my copy and as soon as I hit “the end” of this story, I’m diving into yours!

If money was no object, what would you do to celebrate your first release?

  7. Mel K.:

    Chocolate covered strawberry? :-)
