I am going with Batman…and yes, mostly because it is Christian Bale…my long-time crush (Newsies, anyone?). But also because the other two superheroes just don’t do it for me.
June 2nd, 2008 @ 1:04 pm
Jennifer, I’m with you on Batman for sure. But I saw Ironman yesterday and… OMG. I mean, OMG *fanning self* Talk about hot. I was so impressed with Robert Downey Jr. and his delicious biceps, I mean, great performance! Definitely a contender for hottest hunk this summer
I’m still counting the days till Batman is out, though!!
June 2nd, 2008 @ 2:03 pm
Well, Batman is my choise, too.
June 3rd, 2008 @ 11:02 am
I chose Batman too! Love Christian Bale but Ironman looks like a great movie! So cool to see Robert Downey Jr starring in a movie *g*
Loved the You Tube links, Tawny!
June 3rd, 2008 @ 12:09 pm
Hmmm…maybe I need to see Ironman, then…LOL All I have seen are ads.
June 4th, 2008 @ 10:30 pm
I love Christian Bale…so sexy! And I love Batman. He is not super-human, just a regular guy with great gadgets. Also, he is so tortured that it makes you just want to love and heal him!
June 4th, 2008 @ 10:45 pm
I would definitly have to say that Christian Bale is the hottest hunk of this month. His black parted hair and dark bushy eyebrows really makes him look sexy in black. I love his deliciously masculine jawbone, but I think his best feature is his dark eyes. I can’t explain it, but they just make me feel safe, like someone that would protect me at all costs. That is what I like about Batman. He would give his life to save someone from harm, and that is a complete and total turn on. Also, you don’t really see it that often, but I do adore the sensitive side of Batman. The other reason why I would choose Christian Bale, is because I’ve always been a big fan of Batman ever since I was in grade school.
June 4th, 2008 @ 10:50 pm
Mine, too, Minna
Although I’m seriously saying- check out Ironman! Dude is HOT and the character arc is fabulous! And altho I’ve never been a fan of Gwyneth Paltrow, this movie made me a convert!
Thanks Beth
I give my daughter credit for finding the links - altho I did figure out how to put them up LOL. And chalk another up to Batman, huh? Tell me if you still feel that way after seeing Ironman!
June 4th, 2008 @ 10:51 pm
Jennifer, I’d love to hear what you think of Ironman - let me know if you go see it!
Cheryl, GREAT point on Batman. My husband and I were debating superheroes the other day and it seems the ones who are “regular guys” with awesome cool gadgets, granted, but still real do tend to be multi-billionaires
The ones with the super powers can have other advantages. Maybe we missed a few, though -what do you think?
June 4th, 2008 @ 10:53 pm
Samantha, GREAT ode to Batman, I’m totally clapping and yelling “yes!” to agree
He is hot, he has that total defender vibe and, well, tortured heroes rock *sigh*. Especially when you get to see beneath the armour to the sensitive hunk inside
June 6th, 2008 @ 8:47 pm
I guess the other reason why I chose Batman is because I’m really not into Ironman, and I think the Hulk is just gross. He’s too tall for my taste, and he’s green. I like big muscles, but his are just rediculously big, and all he does is grunt.
June 6th, 2008 @ 8:48 pm
When does Batman come out?
June 6th, 2008 @ 8:50 pm
Although I’m not really into Ironman, I would still like to see the movie, because it does look really good.
June 6th, 2008 @ 9:01 pm
I think Jim Carey would be perfect to play the part of The Joker.
June 6th, 2008 @ 9:05 pm
I guess I wasn’t paying too much attention. Batman comes out July 18th.
June 6th, 2008 @ 9:25 pm
LOL Samantha
I hear ya on the Hulk. He’s another one my brother loved when we were growing up so I saw the TV show and there were Hulk dolls all over the place… but as a hero he never really appealed to me. I think because there was so little deliberate heroism on the characters part, if that makes sense?
and like you, I think Jim Carey would have been a fab Joker, but I’m seriously excited (and a little heartbroke) to see Heath Ledger’s protrayal.
June 7th, 2008 @ 4:26 am
Robert Downey Jr was AMAZING as Iron Man…LOVE that movie.
June 7th, 2008 @ 1:53 pm
Yes, I totaly agree with you Tawnymwr. Bruce Banner doesn’t really have much of a heroistic part. Iron Man seems like a really awsome movie, so I should watch it, but I’ll probably have to wait unitll it comes out on DVD.
June 9th, 2008 @ 12:40 am
Samantha, I tend to wait for most of the movies to hit DVD too - not because of a lack of interest, but I forget they are out LOL. I did go see Indiana Jones today and really enjoyed it, but will skip Hulk until its DVD debut.
I do have to say, though, that Mary nailed it. Robert Downey Jr. was AMAZING in Ironman and he is SO worth seeing on the big screen. I mean, big screen, big muscles… big yum *sigh*
June 10th, 2008 @ 11:06 am
Batman for me too. Christian Bale is my pick. Not really into Robert Downey Jr.
June 10th, 2008 @ 11:21 am
LOL. Well, my husband and I are going on a date Friday, so mabey I could persuade him to go see Ironman.
June 10th, 2008 @ 2:03 pm
Kimmy, I’m not a RD jr fan either but this was a very well done movie. I just read, too, that Marvel Comics had their fingers in both Ironman AND Hulk - and that Ironman makes an appearance in Hulk - setting the groundwork for a possible Avengers movie. But like you, I’m a Batman fan
Samantha, let me know if you see it and what you think!!
June 10th, 2008 @ 4:46 pm
Oh, gotta be Batman, I have been in love with him since my comic book days……LOL I always liked him because he doesn’t have super powers (other than being rich)he trained himself to do what he does.
June 10th, 2008 @ 6:25 pm
Okay, so I got to thinking about this question some more (why? I am not sure) and I read everyone’s responses and I still am going with Batman…and this time I have more than Christian Bale to justify my answer (although, who needs more? LOL)…think about the guys who have played Batman in the movies…they’ve all been pretty nice to look at…Michael Keaton (eh), Val Kilmer (yum), George Clooney (yummy), and Christian Bale (oh yeah). Of course, I had a crush on Robin (Chris O’Donnell) in a couple of those films.
June 10th, 2008 @ 6:28 pm
Oh, and I am feeling kind of bad for the Hulk…apparently y’all aren’t into green. I hope we don’t make him angry…we wouldn’t like him when he’s angry. (I couldn’t resist…and those who have seen the original tv show know what I am talking about).
June 10th, 2008 @ 7:15 pm
That is also what I like about Batman, is that he did train himself to do what he does. He is sexy, talented, and smart.
June 10th, 2008 @ 7:20 pm
You are absolutly right Jennifer Y. All the men who played Batman are just so damn hot. Although, I’ve never really cared too much for George Clooney. I too have to admit that I’ve had a crush on Robin when I was younger. I like his sence of humor.
June 10th, 2008 @ 8:00 pm
The Hulk preview does look really awsome. I wouldn’t call him a hunk, though.
June 11th, 2008 @ 1:45 am
Looks like we’re all Batman kind of gals LOL.
I’m still holding onto my ‘Ironman is hot’ card though! And check this out- I read today that not only is Ironmann making a cameo in Hulk to setup that Avengers movie- they’ve signed the contracts on a second Ironman movie! YAY - bring on more superheroes!!
I’ll admit, though, like Jennifer, I’m feeling a little sorry for Hulk right now (rofl on the ‘wouldn’t like him when he’s angry’ comment). I might have to go see the movie just to see how it is.
But after Sex and the City. I mean… shoes trump superheroes anyday!
June 11th, 2008 @ 1:46 am
Samantha, you’re right, the Hulk is not hunky… but Edward Norton as Bruce Banner is pretty hot, don’tchya think?
June 11th, 2008 @ 1:04 pm
I’m going with Batman, too. I’ve had a thing for Christian Bale since “Empire of the Sun.” The Batman cartoon character is pretty handsome, too.
June 11th, 2008 @ 8:03 pm
Please forgive me Tawnymwr, but I really don’t find Edward Norton all that hot, but that is my opinion.
June 18th, 2008 @ 9:43 pm
My favorite Batman is not any of the current/modern day
Batmen. My favorite is the TV Batman portrayed by
Adam West. He was just so “out there,” so funny, and
the whole family enjoyed the show. In fact, this is
all reminding me of how much my children liked it! I
think I’ll look for a dvd, I know my grandchildren will
enjoy it!!

I have to say that neither of them actually float my boat. The best Batman was Michael Keaton. He is who I picture every time.
I loved the Hulk show as a kid but it isn’t the same. I hate change. Can you tell? I will see it any way with my husband. I always have that thoguht that it will be bad and am usually surprised.
Robert Downey JR is a good actor and I am happy that he is acting again. I may or may not see this movie.
Katie
June 20th, 2008 @ 10:03 am
Katie D, I am the same way. Whenever my husband wants to watch something, I think it will be bad, but sometimes he surprises me with something really good. I am pretty open to change. The only movie I’ve seen Robert Downey Jr. in is Only You with Marissa Tomi.
June 21st, 2008 @ 2:50 am
Ah Pat, I LOVE the original TV Batman. It was such campy fun. My brother used to watch it all the time when we were kids -its what got him hooked on the comic books. Me, I just wanted to look like Cat Woman LOL.
Katie, I thought Michael Keaton was great as Batman. It was his first role that I really saw him as hot, as opposed to, well, just there *g*. I haven’t been to see the new Hulk yet - deadline caught me - but I’ve heard its amazing and figure I’ll check it out. Even if, like you, I think the original was better
If it helps - I hear either Robert Downey Jr or Ironman (not sure which) makes an appearance.
Samantha - Your husband is lucky
June 21st, 2008 @ 3:57 pm
I went with Batman- I’ve been a huge fan of Christian Bale after watching him in “Equilibrium”
June 21st, 2008 @ 4:01 pm
Samantha ~ My husband picks good movies about 50%, which is pretty good. His always have guns. Sometimes the ones holding the guns are pretty cute. *wink*
Tawny ~ I remember him in that daddy movie. Can’t think of the name. I love his lips. lol
June 21st, 2008 @ 9:22 pm
Christian Bale as Batman works for me. Haven’t seen Iron Man yet. Used to be scared of the Hulk show as a child so he’s not my favorite superhero hunk :-).
June 22nd, 2008 @ 4:43 am
Mizztara - I don’t think I’ve seen Christian Bale in anything but Batman… but he’s worth chasing down to watch so I’ll check that out
Katie… Mr. Mom? Maybe? Thats whats coming to mind for me
Christina, I can so see how Hulk would be scary for a kid. He’s pretty ugly LOL and his temper… oh my!
June 25th, 2008 @ 1:10 pm
Batman, of course He’s been around a long time and still my favorite-just something mysterious about his character
June 26th, 2008 @ 5:47 pm
I love Iron Man the best. I think that Robert Downey Jr. did an excellent job of playing Tony Stark aka Iron Man.
June 26th, 2008 @ 10:17 pm
Katie,
We have something in common. About half of the movies my husband picks also has guns, killing, and violence. It’s terrible. But when he picks something good, it turns out to be amazing.
June 26th, 2008 @ 11:46 pm
Joye, he is totally mysterious, isn’t he? I love the title The Dark Knight. Its just so, yum LOL. Very intense, very alpha. Ironman, while hot and definitely a GREAT movie (still ranking my fave since Batman isn’t out yet) is pure indulgent playboy. I’d thought he’d grown out of that character issue as the story progressed, but his ending line pretty much blew that theory for me LOL (trying not to share the spoiler).
June 27th, 2008 @ 1:03 pm
Mr Mom is it! I was just looking at it on that web site that tells about movies. The quotes are hilarious. lol
“You wanna a beer?”
“It’s 7 o’clock in the morning.”
“Scotch?”
Samantha ~ I just don’t tell him because he will never let me forget it.
June 30th, 2008 @ 11:47 pm
Phoebe- Ironman rocked, huh? I love that movie. I’m actually looking foward to it hitting dvd so I can watch it again LOL.
Samantha- Go hubby on picking the winning movies LOL.
Katie -OMG ROFL I forgot that line. that was such a fun movie, wasn’t it.
