Monday’s Quote

When you work, work. And when you play, play. Don’t get the two mixed up. ~~ Jim Rohn

This actually made me laugh. It seems so obvious, but as writers, its so easy to intermingle the two. Work is writing. But work is also promotion, networking, research. How often have YOU delved into a blog, a website or found yourself taking an hour of writing time to answer emails?

Fortunately, writing, as much as it is defined as work, is also pure pleasure (hey, it can be!) and makes it easier to feel like its playing. Especially when it all clicks!

So… how much playing do you do during your work time?

Sometimes I play to avoid work time, but once I settle in to write nothing stands in my way. I write until I can’t write no more then I play some more. LOL

A lot, unfortunately. It’s hard to tell the difference sometimes. Blogging feels something like playing, especially setting up a website or blog, and it’s so time consuming. The problem is I get very intense with play or work.

I’m with Karin. Too much play for me. And too much talking (eamil)!
