AWOL

I’ve been out of the loop here on the blog lately. Partially because I had to finish up another round of revisions on Risque Business (the good news there, though, is the release has been bumped up to September!! YAY), partially because I’m dealing with a nasty carpal tunnel flare up that has turned my arm into a painful mess and partially because the last two weeks have been buried in commitments as President of the Black Diamond RWA chapter and my volunteering commitments to the SFARWA chapter… to say nothing of the last of my promotions on Does She Dare?.

I turned in my revisions on Friday, spoke at my last author panel/signing for the next few months on Saturday, got a brace for my wrist on Monday… and today life is all normal again LOL. And my new goal is to keep it normal, at least for a little while. I’m working on a new book right now - tentatively titled Tie Me Down (my editor promises me the title will change LOL) and usually I plot/brainstorm/outline with my trusty pencil & paper. This time, though, because of limitations with my right hand, I’m playing with a computer program called Dramatica Pro to pull together all my plot ideas & outline into a solid, cohesive format. Its interesting, to say the least. Not quite as organic, but very thorough. This is just a demo, but if it all clicks, I just might buy it. Which will be a great way to make lemonade out of this lemon of a wrist ordeal LOL.

How about you? Have you ever ended up in a frustrating situation, that when you found an answer turned out to be better than what you’d originally intended?

  1. Virna:

My husband and I were in desperate need of daycare for my oldest son, and I thought I’d found the perfect place. My husband visited and ended up having a “conflict” with the day care provider, and I was extremely upset. We found an even better place within a week and later heard horror stories about the woman my husband had argued with.

GREAT example, Virna! I always love hearing those kind of stories, the ones that ’something’ seems to step in and prevent potential problems.

SO glad you avoided the nasty daycare lady AND that you found the perfect place later :-)
