Monday’s Quote

When I face the desolate impossibility of writing 500 pages, a sick sense of failure falls on me, and I know I can never do it. Then gradually, I write one page and then another. One day’s works is all I can permit myself to contemplate. ~ John Steinbeck

Ain’t that the truth!!! There is something so overwhelming about a new story. My favorite part of writing is chapter 4 onward, because I struggle so much getting the story ‘right’ and have to rewrite and rewrite the first three chapters so many times. But after that, its just a ‘one day at a time’ thing.

I’m trying to apply this to exericse and see how it goes LOL. How about you? What do you talke one day at a time?
