Tea and sympathy

I’ve been sick.

I hate being sick. I’m too impatient, I suppose. All I can think of when I’m laying there is all the other stuff I should be doing.

Like writing articles, working on my opening for TIE ME DOWN, updating my website, putting together workshop proposals, criitting for my awesome CP.

Luckily the miserable pounding in my head was down to a dull throb today, the swelling in my glands was down and the aches in my body were addressable by pharmaceutical aid. And I got a lot done.

Critiquing is all done (and revisions sent in – YAY BETH!!), I spent the day on the articles, polished the proopsal and will wait for my brilliant webchick’s green light before I mess with the website. Which leaves TIE ME DOWN.

I’m loving this story. Its a twist on the Princess and the Pauper, with a whole lot of heat thrown in. So far I have a solid first scene, and a mostly-finished second scene. The characters are singing to me in a similar way as Audra and Jesse did in DOUBLE DARE, which adds a fun element to the writing.

My weekend is cleared, other than a couple kid-oriented commitments, I’m spending it writing.

Don’t you love those weekends… or weekdays if thats the case. But a free and clear space of time that’s just yours to do what you want/need. Give me my iced tea, my music and my computer and I’ll be one happy writer this weekend :)
