Okay -now I get to share the absolutely fabulously awesome news!!! My incredible, talented, and adorable Critique Partner – the 3 time Golden Heart finaling, 2007 Golden Heart winning author, BETH BURGOON sold!!!!!!!!
Straight from her, since she doesn’t have a website or blog (YET) is her story….
Tuesday morning, I was rushing out the door to pick up my daughter from basketball practice when the phone rang. After three rings, when no one else in the house answered, I snatched up the phone and snapped out a Hello. The woman on the other end of the line introduced herself as Victoria Curren, an editor with Harlequin’s Superromance line. After I stammered out a slightly more politely greeting, she mentioned that she’d requested the full of my Golden Heart winning manuscript, ALL OR NOTHING. Excited to think she was about to ask for possible revisions, I was floored when instead she said she wanted to offer me a contract!!
I sold!! I’m going to be a Supers author *g* ALL OR NOTHING will be a June 2008 release and I’m so thrilled to a part of such a stellar group of authors and working with Victoria (who, admittedly I don’t know very well, but I’m pretty sure I love her *g*) This was so out of the blue, I had no idea any GH judges had even requested ALL OR NOTHING. Dreams really can come true!!
