Procrastination…

So… I should be writing. I know I should. I need to finish the revisions on SWEET INDULGENCE (rom com ST) and I have some ideas to turn one of my mss, RED HOT ANGEL (05 GH finalist) from a Temptation hopeful into a Blaze. And the synopsis I wrote and sent my editor a week and a half ago keeps nagging at me… the story is solidifying and the characters want to play. But she told me to hold off writing until she’d got back to me on any changes to the plot. :thumbdown_tb:

So what do I do? Revise? Rewrite? Dive into the partial anyway, knowing its easy to revise and it’ll be more like a “getting to know you” adventure than really writing the proposal (shhh, if I tell myself that, I don’t feel like I’m jumping the gun).

Nope- none of that. I procrastinate. I took a nap, I cleaned house, I did some scrapbooking. I offered to watch my 2 month old neice (who is in her swing next to me now, sleeping like an angel), did all the laundry and played with a new writing program I’m thinking of getting.

But write? I haven’t done that yet. I wonder what will shove me off this procrastination hump. I need to get motivated. So… I’m gonna start.

Wish me luck :gulp_ee:

    Tawny–

It’s so funny that you would be writing about this:
I was just sitting at our chapter meeting today being amazed at how productive you are, how many ideas and proposals you have written, not to mention manuscripts and revisions!

Enjoy your down time with the niece and then–get back to work! After all, I’m going to need more to read after May! (And it’s all about me.)

Good luck? LOL - I think that you’ll get over the hump just fine. I don’t think I’ve ever known a more goal-orientated, productive person. I think you deserve a break or two in there. (and I don’t mean the foot kind) :doh_tb:

You deserve a break today. Couldn’t resist. You are working so hard. A break (of the restful kind) will do you good. Enjoy!!!
