Tagged…

My good friend Tammy tagged me.  It took me awhile to answer these ;) but here goes…

1)    One book that changed your life: Your Erroneous Zones by Dr. Wayne Dyer.  My dad gave me my copy when I was about 12, and it’s really played a huge part in who I am.   I’ve read all of Dr. Dyer’s books, and love his message.  It’s all about empowerment – I’d much rather have the ability to empower myself than look outward for it.

2) One book that you’ve read more than once:  Jennifer Crusie’s Manhunting.   It the first story of hers I read, I love it!  I’ve read everything of hers more than once, but this one probably the most.
3)  One book you’d want on a deserted island:  Book? Can I cheat and bring a series?  The Belgariad is my comfort series… and really, it’s like one long book broke into 5
4) One book that made you laugh: Anything by Vicki Lewis Thompson – I love all her Nerd books!  They are a guaranteed laugh-fest for me.  Sexy, funny, upbeat.  I’m always amused.

5) One book that made you cry: Just one?  I’m a cliché, I tear up at Hallmark Commercials.  Okay – Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.  I cried buckets.  It’s the only Harry Potter I haven’t reread.

6) One book you wish you’d written: Anything by Nora… the woman is a Goddess.

7) One book you wish had never been written: Hmmm… I don’t have an answer for this one.  I’d hate to diss any author, even if I have bounced a few books off my walls .

8) One book you’re currently reading:  Morrigan’s Cross by Nora Roberts.

Hmmm… who do I tag now?  How about Terri, Janice and Jill?

Tagged, hm? Oh, you’re evil. Cute, but evil. :)

You’re going to make my brain hurt…

  2. tammy says:

LOL! I almost thought of tagging Terri – but with it being close to Halloween and all….. ;-)

  3. Mary says:

Do you like Morrigan’s Cross? Glenna drove me nuts, but I LOVED Dance of the Gods.

  4. Tawny says:

Hmm… Did I like Morrigan’s Cross? Like you, I loved Dance of the Gods, but yeah… I couldn’t get into Glenna. What made Blair so incredible was-yes her strength-but her vulnerability. Glenna had similar challenges, but I didn’t feel that empathy with her, nor that connection as she discovered this new world. The story, the plot, the other characters, they all drew me in and had me reading it in one sitting (and sending my husband to get DotG for me as soon as the bookstore opened this morning). But I didn’t feel that sense of WOW I usually do when I read her heroines. I can’t wait till Tuesday, though!!!

Tagged? As in, I’m it????? Gee, I hope we’re playing spin the bottle with Matthew McConaughey…what? That’s not what I’ve been tagged for????? Sigh. Well, okay, if I must… ;)

  6. Jill says:

Tawny, thanks for tagging me. The answers are on my blog.

  7. Mary says:

Tawny, that was just what bothered me about Glenna, too. And Hoyt, for that matter.
