OMG I’m sooo thrilled - I want to scream it from the rooftop! (Okay, so I did a giggling happy dance through the front yard- close to the same thing.)

I’m so excited for her… this is what it’s all about.

In writing news… that unplugged thing - it works. The day was jammed with kid stuff and contest coordinator stuff and house stuff and family stuff - so when evening hit, my inclination was to drop down in this chair and “write”. In other words, do like I’ve been doing the last few weeks - sit here and cruise the net, chat in IM with my buddies, or just generally procrastinate.

Instead, I took the laptop in the other room, plopped my headphones on and wrote. I finished the scene, and blocked out the next one. I had to stop for a game of CandyLand (priorities are priorities) and bedtime, but I’m heading back as soon as I post this and figure I can get that next scene written - maybe finish the chapter before I zonk out.

This is what it’s SUPPOSED to be like! I missed this.
